Charlotte is an AMAZING place to be in your twenties... It is hands down the friendliest place I've ever lived. Everyone here is mostly not from here—we're all immigrants and Charlotte is the younger sister of NYC. Once in a blue moon I'll run into a true Charlottian however. About three weekends ago, I went bowling with some friends and met up with a college room mate, Karley. She brought along a girl she had met that night at a party, and her name was Julia Dixon. Julia and I got to talking and I learned that she owned a clothing company called La Señorita Jolie with her sister and they were in dire need of a photographer after their last one recently retired. Coincidences don't exist to me— I believe that God has a plan. God wanted me to meet Julia and her sister Jen. Fast forward a few weeks and we've already done two shoots together. I wrote a blog post that was just launched on their new website, detailing the lives of these two women. You HAVE to check it out. Women entrepreneurs deserve a round of applause. While you're at it, go shopping too.
Laura and Tim had their swoon-worthy engagement session last month on the Outer Banks and I adored every minute with them! I met Laura when she was a maid-of-honor at a wedding I photographed last year so I already knew how genuine she was. But I didn't know just HOW MUCH. Both her and Tim brought the couple whose wedding I photographed last year and it just ended up being a big 'ol fun double date that included beer and laughs. We started at Rooster's Southern Kitchen in Kill Devil Hills and even the owners of the restaurant made a comment about how genuine and nice they were. After a few steamy photographs in the colorful restaurant, we made our way over to Coquina beach. By doing this, they got the modern AND beachy elements they wanted in their photo session. Their passion can be felt in every single photo and their smiles will make you smile! Thank you both for an amazing day... I cannot wait until your wedding in a few short months! Congratulations on being engaged and showing us romantics what happiness looks like.

Global Endowment Management celebrated being in the business for 10 years by having a beautiful gala for all of their past and current employees. The gala took place at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, NC and the venue's event planner Sarah Portela did an amazing job with the flowers and set up. The Perfect Band played just about all night and my gosh, it was hard not to dance myself. Hire your band through East Coast Entertainment..you won't regret it! My sister and future-sister-in-law both found their bands through this company and we've had an amazing experience!
Here's a little highlight reel of the gala that took place on March 4, 2017.
