For Day 11 of the 30 work-day blogging challenge, I'm giving some love for newlyweds Emily and Brian who got married on May 12, 2018 in Columbia, North Carolina. The reason for the shoutout is because we just found out they are pregnant! My husband is very good friends with the groom, Brian, through fishing and Brian was even in our wedding as a greeter. This couple is very near and dear to our hearts so we are so excited to see their family grow! Look at those good looks... they are going to have some stunning offspring.
Their Scuppernong River wedding was absolutely exquisite to say the least. The guests enjoyed the beautiful view, a radiant sunset and the even more pretty couple right in their hometown. Thank you guys again for allowing me to be a part of such a special milestone. You deserve a two-fold congratulations on two big life events in 2018. Gimme me all the stories on parenthood because I need some tips! Vendors: Martell's Edenton Party Equipment & Rentals Yeopim Flowers Visuals by Helen

Carin got herself a sweet 'ol husband on March 24th at the Battleship so it's officially okay to post a few photos from her bridal portrait session. The photos took place at a beautiful lofty space called Belle Vue and all the natural light made her radiate. The coolest thing about this location is that the building is right across the river from the Battleship where she got married so she was able to do some photos in front of her wedding venue as well. Carin is an absolutely breathtaking bride so the camera loved her of course. Wishing Mrs. Beam a thousand congratulations for her marriage to Mr. Beam!
Last Summer, Daniel proposed to Mary Shaw on a catalan near Ocracoke Island and even had the boat guide photograph the entire thing. Of course she said yes so fast forward a few months... the two lovebirds said their vows this past Saturday in Windsor, NC at Mary Shaw's grandmother's farm. Celebratory photos were captured yesterday as a memento that they survived the crazy night of love! I'm so so happy for you two—thank you for letting me ask you a million questions while I captured your beautiful souls. Congratulations!!
Ring: Daniel had it custom-made at Creative Jewelers in Nags Head, NC, goodness gracious it's a beauty. Make-up: Dollface by Melissa came on location to do her magic! Thanks for reading! xoxo, helen Look at those two. Casey + Josh are so happy. I know, I know, Casey's dress is a hot mess so why did I choose the above photo to showcase their wedding? I genuinely believe it shows the personality of this sweet couple so perfectly. Casey was one of the most laid-back brides I've ever worked with and it's clear she came to her own wedding to have fun! She didn't worry about her dress and was on the dance floor about 90% of the night. Then there's Josh— he exudes confidence and happiness because he has a hot new wife. I love that he's holding her close. I know you love it too. Casey and Josh exchanged wedding vows at 6:30pm on December 31, 2016 at the Merry Hill Baptist Church. They were blessed by their loved ones and pastor Danny. Shortly thereafter, they had a NYE celebration at the Scotch Hall Preserve about five miles away. Gratitude goes straight to a wonderful assistant named Ashley. She saved me for the first three hours! She hung out with Josh and his hilarious friends, while I spent time with the beautiful ladies! Josh and his men did jump shots.... YES. When do you ever see big burly men doing the most animated stunt? Meanwhile, Casey surprises you too—she wanted photos with her girls AND her camo shotgun! How awesome is that? (See below for giggles). Casey + Josh are so popular that all of their wedding guests squeezed in the church so there wasn't much wiggle room for photos. However, I think that Ashley and I were able to capture all the sweetness present in the room during that short fifteen minutes! There wasn't time for the beautiful couple to get the typical light and airy Pinterest photos outside because it was dark before their wedding (and they didn't want to see each other beforehand) but you know what? All the more power to them. They didn't care—they just wanted to get married and share kisses on the dance floor and laugh all night with all their amazing and fun friends. You two are incredible as husband and wife already and I cannot congratulate you enough! I'm so happy for you both and wish you a lifetime of health, patience and love.
