Today, I had realization that this year I have seen more classmates from high school since I graduated in 2009 and Emeline is no exception. She was a grade younger than me at Virginia Episcopal School so we didn't have classes together but her older brother and my husband are great friends so we've hung out in social settings a lot more than we did in high school. I'm so happy that her and her fiance Andy live in Wilmington so we can continue to get to know them because they are amazing human beings.

Emeline + Andy are getting married in Davidson, NC next year where Andy went to college but they decided wanted to do their engagement photos at Emeline's childhood home on Harbor Island in Wrightsville Beach, NC so of course I said yes when she reached out. I was happy to have an excuse to see them wrapped up in love and chemistry! Harbor Island is a gorgeous backdrop for photos because it is blanketed with hundred year old live oaks and it also provided privacy compared to some of the parks in Wilmington with those same trees that are adored by the locals. They also did an outfit change, scooped up their pups and had a cocktail on her parent's dock at sunset. The sunset view faced the south end of Wrightsville Beach, NC so it really showed the beauty of the town where they live and will start their marriage. Cheers to these two! I am so grateful to be a small witness to your new chapter together.
