Ms. Maelyn is officially a Mrs!

Last night Maelyn married her sweetheart Brandon at Station No. 2, a historic venue in downtown Wilmington. Their wedding celebrations were remarkable, almost as remarkable as her bridal portrait this summer at the New Hanover County Arboretum. This hidden gem is tucked away off Oleander road and is home to the most magificient manicured garden on this side of town. It is a smaller version of infamous Airlie Gardens and it is public so it does not require entrance fees but gladly accepts donations. Since the park closes at 5pm, we had to bump up Maelyn's portraits earlier than the typical photographer prefers, but bright light doesn't scare me....You just have to outsmart it. So we started out under the trees near fountain at the the entrance of the park and then meandered over to the big oak tree inside. The whole park is not big but it's the perfect size when you're walking around in a princess wedding gown and because it's a hidden gem, there were hardly any people there!

We had the best time practicing for her big day. Maelyn also brought her sweet mama so it made for the most perfect intimate afternoon, so she could soak up the fiance-bride status. So happy that she has graduated to wifey status and that she can now soak up that darlin' hubby of hers in Vegas this week. Congratulations Maelyn and Brandon!
