Mary was a sister and matron-of-honor of a bride whose wedding I photographed in June so I already had the honor of getting to know her and her husband Caleb this year. Mary's sister (the bride) and Mary's husband even had a first look during her sister's wedding day so that is the kind of family-loving energy I was enamored by.
So when Mary reached out about doing sunrise photos in Wrightsville Beach after her sister's wedding this summer, I wondered if it was a baby announcement, but it wasn't in my place to ask. Sometimes couples just want to celebrate each other too! So when we met up in the parking lot on the day of the photo session, I saw them walking up carrying some knick knacks....a sonogram and a sign and so naturally I said "So...whatcha got there?" with this mischievous look on my face. Mary and Caleb both whipped out these BIG 'ol smiles and told me they were expecting. So this sunrise session turned into a celebration of a baby bundle coming our way in February of 2023! My little mama heart was so happy to celebrate a miracle with them. Thanks for sharing a beautiful morning with me! You guys are going to make the best parents...congratulations!
